Zip Security started in 2008 when the cleaning and security operations of sister company, Cleanology, were divided. Cleanology was founded by my mother in 1999 as a contract cleaning company, and in 2008 expanded into the security sector when some of our largest clients asked if we would manage their security contracts.

The company was named "Zip" after the Jack Russell-Beagle crossbreed puppy I adopted from Battersea Dogs Home in 2007. Zip Security is now proud to support Battersea Dogs Home each year.

The philosophy of Zip Security has been inherited from Cleanology, namely to be an ethical employer and working in the most environmentally-friendly way possible.
